Snyder Leaving NSP to Start New Company
LUBBOCK, TEXAS - Tim Snyder, NSP Marketing Director and President of Sorghum Synergies, LLC, will be leaving the association tomorrow to embrace a new opportunity to serve producers. In his new venture as owner of Agri-Energy Solutions, Inc., Snyder will continue to help communities and producers develop their agricultural resources into renewable fuels. NSP will contract with Agri-Energy Solutions, Inc. to continue to provide services related to the ethanol industry on behalf of sorghum producers.
Snyder joined the NSP staff more than five years ago and was charged with increasing demand for sorghum and developing new markets. During his tenure, NSP became more engaged in the ethanol industry. "With the renewable fuels industry exploding like it is," said Snyder, "there are great opportunities to help producers and communities. With the experiences that we've had over the last four years, the sorghum industry is in position to really make an impact."
NSP CEO Tim Lust said that Snyder has helped sorghum producers realize new opportunities for their grain. "Tim helped us really move sorghum to the forefront in nontraditional markets," said Lust. "Because of his ability to think outside the box, we now have some real opportunities to move grain into domestic and international markets. We wish him the best."
Snyder can be reached by phone at (806) 441-7721 or at Agri-Energy Solutions, Inc., 5101 80th, Suite #4, Lubbock, Texas 79424, (806) 794-7800.
NSP represents U.S. sorghum producers nationwide. Headquartered in Lubbock, Texas, in the heart of the U.S. Sorghum Belt that stretches from the Rockies to the Mississippi River and from South Texas to South Dakota, the organization works to ensure the profitability of sorghum production through legislative representation, market development, research and education.
